Evac+Chair Unveils Evac Xpert™ to Revolutionise Evacuation Planning

Evac+Chair, the pioneering manufacturer of emergency evacuation chairs, today launched Evac Xpert™, an online product consultant designed to streamline evacuation planning for buildings of all types.

Since its founding in 1982, Evac+Chair has supplied life‑saving equipment to care homes, hospitals, schools, transport hubs, government buildings, retail outlets, stadiums and hospitality venues. Its established Evacuation Assessment service pairs organisations with expert guidance to select the most suitable evacuation chair based on each building’s layout and specific requirements.

Building on that expertise, Evac+Chair’s new Evac Xpert™ virtual assistant uses intelligent decision‑making to deliver fast, accurate and tailored product recommendations. Users answer a series of questions about their premises and stairwell configurations, and Evac Xpert™ pinpoints the exact evacuation chair model needed to ensure safe egress for all occupants.

Rebecca Chapman, Design Engineer at Evac+Chair, commented:

“We’re excited to launch Evac Xpert™, a smart virtual tool designed to simplify the evacuation planning process.

“While evacuation chairs aren’t yet mandatory in every venue, UK legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as amended by the Fire Safety Act 2021, requires that all building occupants, including those with disabilities, are considered in fire safety planning.

“We hope Evac Xpert™ will empower more organisations to meet these requirements confidently and effectively.”

Evac+Chair became part of the Allvida Group in 2020 and continues to expand its reach, now serving customers in over 70 countries. The launch of Evac Xpert™ represents the first user‑led online tool of its kind in the evacuation equipment sector, offering a level of guidance and precision that Evac+Chair says is unmatched by any other provider.

Evac Xpert™ is now live and available free of charge to qualified organisations. For more information, visit: https://www.evacchair.co.uk/evac-xpert
