multifi and GoCardless join forces to support SMBs

multifi, a UK fintech specialising in finance solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has partnered with GoCardless to embed Direct Debit into its lending platform. This integration automates repayment collections, reduces administrative tasks, and gives customers flexible credit arrangements tailored to their cash-flow needs.

Through the partnership, GoCardless’s Direct Debit feature is built directly into the multifi dashboard. Businesses can now authorise payments that are collected automatically on agreed dates, eliminating manual invoicing and the risk of missed repayments. The streamlined process also includes real-time account integration and automatic calculation of upcoming instalments, making it easier for companies to monitor their liabilities and plan growth.

This collaboration enhances multifi’s range of credit products by adding extended repayment options and a dual-tier structure that caters to businesses at different stages of development. Both new ventures and established firms benefit from a unified interface where they can view outstanding balances, set payment schedules, and adjust terms as their needs evolve.

“We’re proud to power these flexible financing options for multifi. By using Direct Debit – with automatic collections and failure rates far lower than cards – multifi customers will gain peace of mind knowing their repayments will be made on time, every time. The regular and predictable nature of these repayments will also improve their cash flow management.”
Pat Phelan, Chief Commercial Officer, GoCardless

“These enhancements represent a significant step forward in our mission to provide the most straightforward business finance product in the market. By extending our repayment terms and introducing a more flexible payment structure, we’re offering our broker partners an even more compelling product to present to their clients.”
Sunil Dial, Director of Revenue, multifi

By automating collections and providing clear visibility into repayment schedules, multifi and GoCardless aim to reduce late-payment risks and free SME owners to focus on running and growing their businesses.
