While 70% of UK manufacturers report operational cost increases of up to 20% in the last year, Coventry-based Mirius has posted strong financial results. In its FY24 performance, the cleaning and hygiene specialist recorded £56 million in revenue, driven by private-label, branded, and bespoke product lines for major retailers, distributors, and FM providers.
Broad Sector Presence and Long-Term Partnerships
Over the past decade, Mirius has grown across three primary markets—professional, retail, and animal health—building relationships that in some cases exceed 30 years. Today, its engineered product range reaches roughly one in four UK homes, supported by a cross-functional team in engineering, production, procurement, sales, technical services, and customer support.
Pathway to £100 Million
To double its revenue again by 2028, Mirius is focusing on:
- Expanding its product portfolio
- Strategic hires in key functions
- Entry into new domestic and international markets
- Investment in digital customer tools
A flagship initiative is Ask Nan, an AI-driven support assistant that provides instant guidance on product usage, compliance, and safety in over 90 languages—freeing the team to handle complex inquiries.
Sustainability as a Business Driver
Mirius holds EcoVadis accreditation and integrates eco-friendly practices across its operations. Beyond a single “green range,” the company uses lightweight packaging and recycled materials, and has planted over 5,000 trees in Madagascar through the Super Sapling Project with Evertreen.
Leadership Perspective
“We’re still one of the industry’s best-kept secrets, but the numbers speak for themselves. We more than doubled in size in 5 years, both in terms of revenue and operational capacity, and now supply many of the UK’s largest retailers. This growth has been fuelled by staying laser-focused on what our customers actually need, high-quality products, rapid turnaround, and scalable manufacturing support. Our private-label partnerships with major retailers and distributors have been central to our success.”
“Our ambition now is to drive real innovation, whether that’s through digital assistants like Ask Nan or by challenging greenwashing with honest, science-led sustainability. There’s a huge appetite in the market for credible, scalable partners, and we’re ready to meet that demand.”
