Derby-based SYS Systems has recorded a 350% increase in UK dental market sales following strong uptake of Stratasys’ J5 DentaJet™ printers. Clinics and laboratories are adopting the technology to produce full-colour, monolithic removable dentures in half the time of traditional methods.
The J5 DentaJet™, paired with TrueDent™ resin, allows simultaneous printing of multiple tooth and base shades, delivering enhanced durability and aesthetics. SYS Systems installs one unit every two weeks, supplying a turnkey package that includes installation, training, maintenance and technical support.

Prime Dental Laboratory in Ilkeston was an early adopter. Co-owner Tim Jackson noted the resin’s exceptional strength and speed improvements:
“Digital dentures have sometimes been a little brittle in the past—not this TrueDent™ material, which I believe is the best printer resin on the market, surpassing everything I could have imagined strength-wise, as well as aesthetics… Creating using an analogue method, we found that 18 dentures would take us around 12 hours to make. Doing the same process digitally, we went down to about six hours, and—now we’ve got the J5 DentaJet™—we can knock another hour off that just on post-processing those dentures as well.”
At Zenith Dental Clinic in Nottingham, Principal Dentist Dr Karan Maini described the transition to digital workflows:
“After I tried a scanner for the first time, I thought that’s quite good… Before you know it, I’ve been introduced to TrueDent™ and Stratasys through SYS Systems and here we are. Every denture I make is now a TrueDent™ denture.
